Houston PolyTank, LLC Storage Tanks are engineered to withstand the most challenging of storage situations and can replace Steel, Stainless Steel, Fiberglass and Roto-Molded plastic tanks.. Made of either HIGH DENSITY LINEAR POLYETHYLENE (for applications up to 120°F) or POLYPROPYLENE (for high-temperature applications 180°F- 200°F)
Our designs are custom-engineered and take into consideration:
- Chemical Compatibility
- Working Temperature
- Specific Gravity
- Size
With wall thicknesses between ½” to 6”, our extrusion wound tanks are proven to be excellent for aggressive chemical storage, process tanks and reactors used in many industries:
- Chemical Industry
- Oil & Natural Gas Industries
- Mining
- Agriculture
- Water Treatment
- Pharmaceuticals
- Steel Industry
- Petroleum
- Municipalities
- Energy (including alternative energy)
- Food Industry
The process we use to create our innovative tanks can also be used for manufacturing rigid, high quality extrusion plastic pipes and duct work. Sizes from 24” to 13.2’ ID with full wall thickness from ½” to 5” thick. Pipe will come in 20’ length and can be connected by either flange adaptors or welded.
Because of our proprietary process and the structural stability of our tanks, our tanks can accommodate more options for fittings and accessories than other plastic tanks. Tank Options:
- Fiberglass or Steel OSHA compliant ladder with or without safety cage
- Fiberglass or Steel handrail with kick plate
- Inspection Ring
- Mixer Mount (Poly or Steel): No need for external support
- Immersion Heater or Heating Coil
- Tie Downs (Engineered stamp calculations available)
- Lighting Protection
- Insulation system
- Side and Top Manway
- Catwalks
- Level Control Gauges
- Venting
Storage of certain concentrated chemicals can be extremely challenging, because of concerns such as chemical attack, high specific gravity, UV attack and oxidation. If you store your chemicals in our tanks, these become non-issues! Our tanks are extremely well-suited to concentrated chemicals such as:
- Sulfuric Acid up to 98%
- Sodium Hypochlorite (Bleach) up to 19%
- Hydrochloric Acid up to 36%
- Nitric
- Ferric Sulfate
- Hydrogen Peroxide
- Variety of others
Note: Level of concentration is dependent on storage temperature
