Their proprietary processes are highly sophisticated and use complex chemicals in the production of their products, including chemicals such as plasticizers, acids and solvents. Because these chemicals need to be properly maintained in chemical storage tanks within their pristine production facilities, they turned to Houston PolyTank for a series of chemical storage tanks large and small to hold the necessary liquids that are critical to their production process. Through our manufacturer’s representative in Austin, Texas, Garrett Industrial Systems, LLC, HID Global specified six of Houston PolyTank’s large extrusion wound tanks and 12 smaller extrusion wound tanks for their facility.
The six large process vessels have a cone bottom to promote better drainage and are mounted on stainless stands. They have special fittings on the outside, baffles affixed to the inside to promote proper mixing and a mixer mount that sits on top of the tanks. The smaller, flat bottomed, 500 gallon tanks are also used in this process, where the tanks need to be elevated off of the floor on specially fabricated racks.
